2017
SP-Wind Embarked on the Journey to become a GWO Training provider in 2017 with initial planning, studies, design, engineering and construction of the training facility to be able to deliver Basic Safety Training Courses
2018
SP-Wind Achieves first GWO Certified Training Provider Status for the BST Training Modules and initiates the process of providing training to the Wind Industry in South Africa.
2019
With the Successful venture and the client's needs, SP-Wind strategy entailed the extension of Scope for GWO Training to also Include the BTT Modules and with this expansion in order to Create capacity and Simultaneous Training
2020
With the worldwide pandemic SP-Wind remained resilient and obtained a extension of Scope to Deliver the Partial Digital Refreshers and this was the steppingstone for Digital transformation and Blended Training.
2021
SP-Wind Embarked on International Training to other countries within the Region such as Egypt, Jordan and Kenya and added More Training Modules to the Scope placing ourselves as the training provider with larger scope in terms of GWO Training in Africa and Middle East
2022
Year marked by the expansion towards creating capacity in terms of training centre expanding our facility to the current 1100sq. Meters in order to offer Quality Training Simultaneously ahead of the JUST TRANSITION and Market Demand.
2023
SP-Wind Embarked in pioneering the GWO Instructor Qualification Training placing Enphase on the Quality of Training Hosting The Pilot for IQT and Consequently becoming the First Training Provider Worldwide to be Certified to Deliver the Module.
2024
SP-Wind expanded its training portfolio with the addition of Crane and Hoist Training, supported by dedicated equipment that mirrors real wind industry operations. This enhancement ensures our learners gain practical, high-fidelity experience—reinforcing our commitment to staying at the forefront as a leading Wind Industry Training Provider in Africa and beyond.
